My mother swears she knew from the time I was a toddler that this would be my career path. But for me, the epiphany came shortly after graduating high school. By that time, I was already a mother and eager to find my way in the world.
In the late ‘90s, I moved back to London with my daughter and completed my cosmetology training. I worked under some of the city’s most talented stylists, exploring techniques and formulas, until I opened the doors to Wabi Sabi in 2007.
I have always been a subscriber of natural and wholesome ways of living. And I believe the team and I have created a salon and spa environment that is conducive to creative expression and a truly comfortable, intimate experience for our guests.

One of the things we hear most often in our salon chairs is: “I’d like to try something new, but I just don’t know what will work for me. Can you help?”
In response to that common struggle, I use a formula that acts as a system of personal assessments. Taking into consideration 10 different determining factors, such as lifestyle, personality, environment, facial structure and so on, the result is a shape, length, texture and colour that compliments you PERFECTLY.
A trip to the hair salon can be nerve wracking if you’re in the market for a new ‘do.
“How short should I go? Is that the right hair colour? What about my face shape? And these curls?!”
Wabi Sabi uses an algorithm that alleviates all that stress and uncertainty. It’s a 10-point analysis that will result in a look that is perfectly suited to YOU.
We take things like your skin, your lifestyle, hair (of course) and even your personality into consideration.
During your analysis, we’ll look at the tone and complexion of your face, assess your strongest features, consider factors such as how often you shampoo and heat-style your hair, whether you’re more trend-setting or traditional, and so on.
Each analysis takes about 30 minutes to cover the 10 points. We also take that time to get a bit of a feel for your vibe and your energy. This goes a long way when it comes to determining just the right new look for you.
Unlike the assessments you find online that consider just your face shape, Wabi Sabi takes the time to understand what makes you unique. Afterall - the very essence of Wabi Sabi is embracing imperfection and finding the beauty in it.
